Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Cardano Journal (cardanojournal.com) processes, why, and what your rights are.

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is the publisher of Cardano Journal. To ask anything about your data, write to cardanojournal@cardanians.io or use the contact form.

What we process

  • Visiting the site. Our servers record technical data every web server receives: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. We use it to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix faults, and keep it only for a limited period. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure site.

  • Reading statistics. When you open an article the site counts the read and how long the page stayed open, together with the type of device and where the visit came from. It sets no cookie and stores no identifier, so the count does not identify you.

  • Newsletter. If you subscribe we store your email address, when you subscribed and from which part of the site. We send a confirmation email first and add you only once you confirm. Every issue has a link to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing takes effect at once. Legal basis: your consent.

  • Contact and advertising forms. What you send us (your name, email address and message) is used to answer you and kept only as long as the conversation needs. The forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the sender is not a bot and processes technical data about your browser to do so. Legal basis: taking the steps you ask for, and our legitimate interest in answering.

  • Embedded content. Some articles embed posts, videos or charts from other services such as X, YouTube or TradingView. Those services may set cookies and receive data about your visit when the embed loads, under their own privacy policies.

  • Settings in your browser. The site remembers choices such as light or dark mode in your browser's local storage. That stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Who receives it

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the providers that run the site for us: hosting, email delivery, Cloudflare (form protection), each bound to use it only for that purpose.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, a restriction of its processing or a copy of it, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, write to cardanojournal@cardanians.io or use the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
